FAQ

Who is ReSync for?

ReSync is built for DJs who work with folder-based workflows and treat their folder structure as their primary source of truth.

Why is this better than managing playlists manually?

Because you do not do the same work twice: you organize once in folders, then you do not rebuild it again in Rekordbox.

Do I need to build the initial structure manually?

Yes, once. You need to set up your initial Rekordbox structure manually, and then ReSync takes over most of the ongoing maintenance work.

What does Compare do exactly?

It compares the current state of your music folders with your Rekordbox library and shows where differences exist. That result becomes the plan Sync can apply.

What do I see in Preview?

You see the exact tracks marked for addition or removal, so nothing happens blindly and you can decide before any write is applied.

What will Sync modify?

Sync changes only what Compare and Preview already showed and what you explicitly approve. It does not invent extra modifications.

What happens when I add new tracks to folders?

On the next Compare run, those changes appear in the diff, and after Sync they are carried into Rekordbox in a controlled, reviewable way. The same logic applies to deletions.

What happens without a license?

The app remains usable for checking and review workflows, but write operations require an activated license.

Why ReSync

Built for a real DJ pain point

ReSync was built for a familiar situation: you carefully build your system in folders, then manually maintain the same structure again in Rekordbox. It takes time, it is exhausting, and it is easy to make mistakes.

Goal

The goal is to keep folders as the baseline and have Rekordbox follow that structure in a controlled way. Less manual admin, fewer missing tracks, more focus on playing.
